Yoga classes in Ashbourne to help you pause, breathe, and return to yourself.
Just as you are.

Hello, I’m Julie — I’m really glad you’re here.
Based in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, on the edge of the Peak District, I offer yoga as a place that’s safe to land. A pause from the rush of everyday life.
A space to breathe, to settle, and to come back to yourself, just as you are.
Alongside teaching yoga, I’m also a part-time primary school teacher, so I understand how full, demanding, and emotionally stretching life can be.
Yoga first found me during a difficult period, when anxiety was taking a real toll. Through practice, I discovered something far deeper than movement; a way to soothe my nervous system, quiet my mind, and feel more at home in myself again.
That relationship with my mat has shaped how I teach. Yoga here isn’t about performance or perfection. It’s about creating a place where you don’t have to hold it all together. Somewhere you can arrive tired, overwhelmed, uncertain — and still be welcome.
As a woman navigating the changes of midlife myself, I’m especially passionate about supporting those moving through menopause. Yoga can be a powerful, compassionate companion during this transition — offering steadiness, relief, and a sense of grounding when things feel unfamiliar or unsettled.
At Lotus Flow Yoga, you’ll find a warm, inclusive space where your body, your energy, and your experience are honoured. A place to move, to rest, and to reconnect — again and again.
You’re safe to land here. 💛

What is Yoga?
Yoga is an ancient practice that combines physical postures, breath control, and meditation to improve flexibility, strength, and mental clarity. It promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and supports overall well-being, offering a holistic approach to physical and mental health.

THURSDAY 5.30 to 6.30pm at The Venue, Ashbourne - Booking essential
A Beginners /Slow Yoga class aims to teach all the fundamentals to those who are completely new to yoga or to those wanting a gentle paced class. We will learn the importance of functional mobility based movement rather than creating fancy shapes or poses. This way you will have the foundation for a lifelong practice that can help to create balance in both the physical body and nervous system.
THURSDAY, 7pm to 8.15pm at The Venue
Vinyasa is a style of yoga where poses are strung together to form one fluid sequence of movement. The classes focus on connecting the movements with the rhythm of the breath. Vinyasa means to move with the breath, which is essentially the core of a Vinyasa class.
FRIDAY CLOSEST TO THE FULL MOON, 7pm to 8.30pm Clifton Village Hall
In this monthly class you will enjoy a sense of surrender in a series of gently held Yin Yoga postures.
Soothing music, inspirational theme and aromatherapy, peel away all that does not serve. We soften into a state of ease and target the deeper Yin tissue, facia, ligaments, connective tissue which concentrate in our joints.
We will end the session with a restorative Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep).
WORKSHOPS - Dates & times vary
All women will go through the menopause at some stage in their life. It is a time of life that can be challenging, particularly as modern life can already be pretty stressful. Menopause Yoga classes are intended to help you positively navigate this often difficult time. We practice yoga, mindfulness and breathing techniques along with exploring lifestyle changes that can positively influence your experience whether you’re peri-menopausal, menopausal or post-menopausal.
